GENERAL GUIDELINES:
More than 40 cartoons are purchased each year.
Sought are wholesome cartoons full of good, clean fun.
Cartoons that will not be bought include those that make fun of teachers, police officers or other authority figures; lousy report card cartoons; "sick" cartoons; or those that rely on traditional gender-role stereotypes such as a woman who doesn't know anything about cars.
It is best to show kids instead of adults in cartoons for Highlights.
Kids should be shown in kid situations, not in adult situations
