Printing of the One-Billionth Copy of Highlights at Quebecor World's Plant

What a thrill it is to see Highlights for Children achieve these remarkable milestones-our 60th anniversary and the printing of our one-billionth copy.
Many times in the days leading up to this event, I've been asked, "How is it possible that a 60-year-old magazine not only endures but remains as popular with children as ever, growing to become America's most widely circulated children's magazine?"
Well, we are here today celebrating these milestones because this is a company that has never forgotten who it is.
It is a company that was founded on the principle that children are the world's most important people.
A company that is today guided by this very same principle. Everything we do, every product we create, each new issue of Highlights® is designed with the best interest of kids top of mind. We exist to help kids grow to become curious, creative, caring, and confident individuals.
I am proud and delighted to serve as editor of this one-of-a-kind magazine and play a role in this important work.
On a daily basis, I marvel at how fortunate I am to be associated with so many fine people: the Myers family; the corporate board of directors; the editorial team, particularly Cindy Smith, our highly creative art director; my dedicated colleagues in Columbus; the exemplary team at our film house, Wisconsin Technicolor; and, of course, all the folks at Quebecor World, who play such a key role in helping us a deliver a quality finished product. Thank you, all.
Finally and especially, a thank-you to our wonderful readers and their families. Thank you for allowing us to help you make memories together. Thank you for inviting us into your homes, month after month, for some of you year after year, and for others generation after generation. We do this for you - and it is an honor and a privilege.
