Parents’ Panel: The Most Valuable Parenting Advice They Received

Here are some of the things they told us.

  • You can't take good care of your child if you don't take good care of yourself.
  • Choose your battles.
  • Enjoy your children at each and every stage of their lives.
  • When raising your children (after your safety concerns are addressed), your primary goal should be to teach them to be a good people when they are older.
  • When your children get gum in their hair . . . use peanut butter to get it out. Simply rub a small amount directly onto the gum and then wash out the peanut butter AND the gum.
  • It's okay not to have all the answers. What's important is knowing how to find the answers.
