What you said:

What would be your ideal vacation?
Scotland--castle jumping.

To go to Jamaica and eat Jamaican food for one whole week.

My ideal vacation would be for my family to go to a beach resort where everything is paid up front and we can just relax and enjoy our time together. I would like for all of the accomodations to be right there to keep us entertained yet we could relax on the beach as well.

A family cruise where we could see different things, spend time as a family, but also have things for the children and parents to do separately to keep sanity.

Mountains, a waterfall, cool temperatures, quiet lodge/cabin, no TV, bring the kids, play in the water, cook out over open fire as a family, read a book, take pictures, sketch, write about what I see/feel/do. And eat off of paper plates!

Somewhere where we can be outdoors a great deal with the kids, no TV and no phone. A Hawaiian condo, a camping trip, either would be great. Also, there should be plenty of things that we all could enjoy: swimming, fishing, etc.

All-inclusive resort or cruise that caters to kids and offers babysitting so hubby and I could enjoy some grown-up time.

A trip to Italy with my wife to enjoy good food, great art and sightseeing, and beautiful countryside.

Relaxation on the West Coast, Big Sur. Loved ones in nearby, but not too nearby, cabins.

Staying at a historic B&B, eating at fascinating restaurants, touring antique sites, feeling pampered with poolside time and massages and chocolates--all with the Love of my Life!

Lying on a beach with nothing to do all day except read and sleep.

Being able to go on a vacation that is designed for a big family. Most vacation packages are for families with only 4 members. There are 8 of us, and it is really hard to find things to do at a reasonable price for our big family.

I think something that includes the whole family would be my ideal vacation. Disney World is great but the beach is probably better. Stay in a house. We can hang out at the beach all day, then go home and cook and play games and have fun with the family.

Going to a cabin in the mountains where it is quiet and peaceful. My girls and husband and I could hike and fish and observe nature.

The ideal vacation would be being able to travel to different places each year or at least see new things. Not having to worry about the water you drink, with safety and no health problems.

Some outdoor fun for the family as well as individual time for the adults. I really believe that family vacations are for families to spend together, not for parents to spend the entire day at the spa and their children at the camp. That would not be a family vacation in my book. A balance would be ideal.

Time to really enjoy the vacation! It seems that we only get started when it's time for us to pack up and go home.

The beach--all inclusive. We went on a cruise and the best part was my kids could go and get pizza, ice cream, or whatever whenever they were hungry. When we went to CO, every time we stopped at a restaurant they weren't hungry and we wasted so much food. And there have to be activities to keep the whole family busy. Things for parents and kids to do together, as well as separate! If my kids are fed and tired, bedtime is a snap. Safety and cleanliness are great, too!

Going to Florida or California. We've never been to the beach or ocean.

A place that has day-care for my children so my husband and I can have alone time as well. Someplace with plenty of things to do that the whole family enjoys.
