In this newly created role, Barsotti will lead the strategy and development of Highlights Parenting, the division of Highlights that focuses on digital and print content for parents, grandparents, and other caregivers.
Barsotti is an award-winning editor who brings extensive experience in the publishing industry and a wealth of knowledge in parenting, pregnancy, women’s health and child development. Prior to joining Highlights, she was Managing Editor at WhattoExpect.com. Earlier in her career, she held various positions in editorial management at several women’s magazines, including Senior Editor at Family Circle and Executive Editor at Child Magazine, then shifted her focus to online media that serve women, children, and families, holding senior editorial positions such as Editorial Director at About.com, Editor-in-Chief at Scholastic.com and Director of Health Editorial and Programming at AOL Media.
