Get Creative!Get Creative!
Many of us are finding that we have a lot more downtime than we expected to have this summer. But sometimes downtime is exactly what we need to give us the space to get creative. That’s the theme of this new Highlights@Home collection, Get Creative! If you’ve got musically inclined kids, they might be inspired to try some DIY instruments like Rabbit does in our story, “One-Box Band.” If your kids are little comedians, they’ll get a kick out of our improv activities. We even have games you can play together for some hilarious family time. Or your kids might even try some of the games out with friends over video chat like a virtual comedy troupe. And if you’ve got kids who tend to think outside the box, then they’ll enjoy writing, drawing, or talking about the prompts in this pack. “If you could make up a new word, what would it be?” A tough one! And “Would you rather paint with your fingers or a brush? Why?” Apologies in advance if this idea leads to some messy art projects. Try to embrace a joyful mess for the sake of creativity!
