Who can resist a secret message from a friend? White crayon is the “invisible ink” when used on white construction paper. These valentines will reveal their sentiments only when brushed with watercolors. Surprise!
Secret Message Valentines
What You’ll Need
  • Scissors
  • White construction paper
  • White crayon
  • Pen
What to Do
  1. For each valentine, draw a heart on white construction paper, and cut it out.
  2. Use a white crayon to decorate the heart with designs and a message. Press hard.
  3. On the back of the heart, use a pen to write: “Brush the other side with pink watercolors to find a secret message in invisible ink!”
  4. Send the card to a friend, your parents or grandparents, a special aunt or uncle, or your teacher. The message is revealed when he or she brushes over your message with watercolors.
