Pour 1 gallon of cider into a large slow cooker. Stir in 3 tablespoons of honey and ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger.
Add 12 whole cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, and ½ of an orange, sliced.
Place the lid on the slow cooker. Heat on HIGH for 2 hours.
Use a spoon to remove the cloves, cinnamon stick, and orange slices.
Ladle the cider into mugs. Top with whipped cream.
After playing outside on a cold day, warm up with a mug of hot spiced cider.
