Highlights Every Day App FAQs

1. What's included in the Highlights Every Day™ app?

Highlights Every Day serves up new content for your child to play, read, solve or engage with, at home or on the go. When you subscribe, your child will have instant access to more than 500 activities, with new activities added all the time:

  • Fiction stories and nonfiction articles that spark the excitement of reading
  • Hidden Pictures™ scenes and other puzzles that build confidence and problem-solving skills
  • Engaging videos that satisfy even the most curious of kids
  • Playful quizzes that help kids reflect, laugh and have fun

2. I tapped on the "Decide Later" link during the free trial sign-up. How do I start my free trial now?

To start your free trial:

Tap the “Unlock All Content” button at the top of the screen, then hit “Subscribe” in the pop-up window.

OR

Tap on a piece of locked content, then hit “Subscribe” in the pop-up window.

3. When does my billing start?

Your billing starts the day after your free trial period has ended, on the 31st day. The subscription will continue on a monthly basis unless automatic renewal is turned off.

4. How do I turn off automatic renewal?

Your subscription is managed through your app store account and must be accessed through your device. To turn off automatic renewal, go to the iTunes or Google Play settings and locate “Subscriptions.”

For Apple users, go to: Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID (at the top) > View Apple ID > Enter your password when prompted and tap on OK > Manage under Subscriptions > Select Highlights Every Day app > Turn the Auto-Renewal option to “Off”

For Android users. go to: Google Play Store > Menu > Account > Subscriptions > Select Highlights Every Day app > Tap Cancel and tap Yes to confirm cancellation

Your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

5. I was charged but shouldn’t have been. Who do I contact?

All billing is managed through your app store account. If you require a refund, please contact iTunes customer service or Google Play customer service.

6. I’m subscribed, but my content is locked. How do I unlock it?

If you have a new device, want to activate your subscription on a different device, or unlock content from your subscription, purchases can be restored by tapping “Decide Later” on the intro screen, then following the steps below.

In order to restore your purchase in-app, tap the orange “Parent” icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, enter your age, and then tap “Restore Purchases.”

Tapping on "Restore Purchases" will bring you to the app store where you can enter your app store username and password to restore your purchase.

7. How do I save my favorite activities?

The app gives your child the option to mark activities as “favorites” and store them all in one place! To mark an activity as a favorite:

  1. Tap the activity tile to open it
  2. Allow it to load
  3. In the upper left corner, tap the star button
  4. To remove the selected activity from your favorites list, tap the star button again
  5. All your favorites will appear on the home screen under the “Favorites” section.

8. How do I unlock locked activities?

To unlock activities, you will need to subscribe. You can subscribe in either of the following ways:

Tap the “Unlock All Content” button at the top of the screen, then hit “Subscribe” in the pop-up window.

OR

Tap on a piece of locked content, then hit “Subscribe” in the pop-up window.

9. My child accidentally deleted the app from my device. How do I reinstall?

For Apple devices:

  1. Open App Store and search for the app that was deleted
  2. Select the app by tapping on it
  3. Tap the cloud download icon to start the app restore process
  4. If asked, confirm the Apple ID login

For Android devices:

  1. Tap on “Settings”
  2. Tap on “Applications”
  3. Tap on “Application Manager”
  4. Under “Downloaded,” tap on the Highlights Every Day app icon
  5. Tap on “Install”

If the app does not appear under “Downloaded” in Application Manager on your Android device, then:

  1. Open Play Store
  2. Tap the menu icon
  3. Tap “My apps and games”
  4. Under “All,” select Highlights Every Day app, then tap “Install” or “Enable”

10. My question was not answered. How do I contact someone at Customer Service?

Hidden Pictures™ App FAQs

1. How do I complete a Hidden Pictures puzzle?

Find and tap all the hidden objects in the image to complete each puzzle and move on to the next.

2. I’m subscribed, but my content is locked. How do I unlock it?

If you have a new device, want to activate your subscription on a different device, or unlock content from your subscription, purchases can be restored by tapping “Decide Later” on the intro screen, then following the steps below.

For iOS: Once inside the app, hit the orange “Settings” icon, then tap “Restore Purchases.”

This will direct you to the app store where you can enter your app store username and password to restore your purchase.

 For Android: Uninstall and reinstall the app. This should unlock the content.

Tap the “More Puzzles” button at the top of the screen, then hit “Start Free Trial” in the pop-up window.
