This role would work as a member of the International Editorial team to oversee two key projects and shepherd them to completion over the next 6-12 months:

Read With Highlights Content Update

The Editorial Project Manager will:

  • oversee the updating of all 2400+ titles to font-compliant status, working with a freelance production designer
  • oversee and direct the text updates, audio updates, quiz questions, epub creation, DAMS archiving for 653 existing RWH stories
  • oversee and direct the conversion, audio confirmation, quiz questions, epub creation, DAMS archiving for 204 existing and 12+ per month ongoing NEW RWH stories
  • oversee the selection and preparation for batched content sets for Highlights Digital Library
  • Update metadata and category designations
  • Complete full RWH collection review to establish which subset of RWH content is suitable for audio-only partners (e.g. Findaway)

Large Scale Audio Refresh

The Editorial Project Manager will work with our team of audio engineers and voice talent, overseeing the refresh recording of three main sources of audio content:

  • Voices Leveled Library Series Re-Records
  • Confirm edits needed based on VLL review in progress by freelance editor
  • Work with outsourced recording studio to execute necessary revisions
  • Review and meticulously track all completed VLL production refreshes and determining which titles need additional audio edits once book/text updates are complete
  • Work with outsourced studio to execute necessary additional revisions
  • Work closely with Digital Asset Management team to archive all updated audio
  • Liase with Business Development Team on re-deploy plan to existing partners

World Family Audio

  • Work with Senior Editor to create balanced title lists for a 220 title/year output
  • Work with ELL coaches, voice talent, and audio engineer to manage parallel track recording list, approval process
  • Meet regular monthly deliverable deadlines with developer and partner
  • Individual Corrections
  • Work with Highlights audio engineer to track, execute, re-deploy, and archive when partners bring audio errors to our attention
